Good for Breakfast, Brunch, or Snacks
I was first introduced to this easy and delicious recipe when I was living in rural northeast Texas. One of the ladies in our Bible study brought them for snacks one day and I was hooked.
They can be made with pretty much any kind of meat – if you're not into ham, try sausage, ground beef, venison or another that catches your fancy.
The important thing is: you're better off with lower-fat meat and low-moisture cheese unless you're into greasy food.
1 ½ cups Finely chopped ham
2 cups Bisquick Mix
2 cups Low-moisture Shredded Cheese (I used a mozzarella blend)
2/3 cup Milk
How To Make It
Combine dry ingredients in the mixing bowl
Add the milk, and blend until a soft dough forms
Using the soup spoon, form the dough into approximately 1-inch balls
Place the balls of dough on the baking sheet about 1 inch apart
Bake for 13 minutes at 450 degrees Fahrenheit or until golden brown
